Tutorial iPod to Computer transfering [EDIT]

Okay I know in my last post i said i was here to help with “photoshop” and digital art and all that, but this is something i have wanted to know how to do since i got my iPod.

How to get songs from an iPod to the computer, no software required!

you go to “my computer” and then click the ipod (its like drive E or F) and open it to view folders.

Click along the top of the window where it says “tools” to bring down a menu,

click on “folder options” and click the tab that says “view”

now look at the list where it says “hidden files and folders”

click “show hidden files and folders” and hit “apply”.

now close that window to go back to the ipod folder you should now be able to see a folder called “iPod_control”, open it.

Now go to the file that says “music” there will be several folders that start with “F” and then a number, that is where your music is.

Create a new folder in “My Documents”. that is where you will put you music.

Just open those folders with your music and select all of the music files and drag them into the new folder.

Drag and drop all the music files over from the new folder to Itunes and there you go, all of your music is now on your computer and still on the iPod too.

… but twice the awesome and half the mess!

I know what youre thinking. yes you there, nice shirt by the way, I know what youre thinking. “oh yay yet another college student with a blog, thinking they’re funny… blah blah blah” Well first off, I am funny and Im not just any college student with a blog, Im here to teach you stuff. Stuff about life, the universe, and everything! okay no not really that was Douglas Adams. Im here to help people out with art and graphic design.

I currently go to school for Multimedia Design Technology (MMDT) so I am learning lots of nifty tips and tricks in Photoshop and then spreading the goodness to the internet.

Most often I will post pictures and/or tuorials that I have done, along with tutorials that i have found to be extremely helpful. Also if anyone has a specific question for me leave a comment and I will answer as best I can, or if there is a specific thing you want me to draw or make a tutorial for I will do my best to help you out.
